I Wish

I wish someone would invent a device to transport someone from one place the next.
I wish I could spend just one weekend per month to do nothing but watch movies.
I wish money really did grow on trees.
I wish I knew how to speed read.
I wish that dump trucks and 18-wheeler's had their own lane of traffic.
I wish our world would slow down.
I wish I didn't love ice cream and donuts so much.
I wish I was a little bit taller, wish I was a baller, wish I had a rabbit in a hat and 6-4 Impala (old school rap for ya)
I wish the stuff in my brain would come out of my mouth the way I want it to and out on paper the way its meant to be read.
What do you wish?

Comments:
That's a pretty good list, Chris. All I would add is:

I wish the roads would grow as fast as the population
I wish work would only be the stuff I like
I wish that I could memorize the Bible
I wish that power technology would catch up to computing technology
I wish that 2 + 2 was 4

I wish my nearly grown kids could be babies in my arms again, and again, and again. I wish I were working on the g-nome project. I wish I understood quarks. I wish I understood why God chose the odd little miracle of a leaf converting light into energy. I wish I had a trikke. I wish I had the power to give sight to the blind, and to cause the cripple to walk, and the deaf to hear. I wish I understood how to rewire my bathroom light so the irritating fan wouldn't come on. I wish I could stop Jennifer's shower from leaking into the kitchen below. I wish my kids could know the joy I felt as a child playing hide and seek with the whole neighborhood on late summer nights. I wish they could know the joy of reading shape notes. I wish everyone would become extremely committed to getting toxins out of our environment. I wish integrity were valued over prosperity. I wish I had the energy to dance all night. I wish my house was clean enough for me to die without having to jump up off my death bed to vacuum. I wish I would get a brainstorm for a fab book that everyone would love. I wish someone would miraculously solve the problem of traffic once and for always. I wish evil people would suddenly stop being evil. I wish everyone would come to me for advice and gladly take it. I wish I could relive every day of my college years. I wish I could lie on my back on the bottom of the pool and marvel at the sparkling layers of light like I did as a kid. I wish I would get to attend a Sound Of Music Sing-a-long. I wish no person who ever lived had known the agony or war or natural disaster. I wish all my memories would stay alive after I die.

I wish I could come up with a ridiculously simple idea like "Build-a-bear".

I wish I had the entire Bible memorized.

I wish I knew what God thinks without having to wait for him to tell me.

I wish everyone had a lil southern hospitality.

ah, that's a good one, wishing to know what God thinks without having to wait for him to tell us. makes me think of waiting for a birthday surprise. we live in anticipation of what God has to tell us. wow.

i like bethany's wish for a little southern hospitality. good one.

I wish life was simpler. I wish that dishes could wash themsleves, and that rooms would always stay clean. I wish that pigs could really fly, therefore I migh win some bets and things. I wish that the well-known cliche, "work hard and you will succeed," would ACTUALLY be true, and happen to me and my friends. I wish that every troubled person had a safe, and loving refuge. I also wish that crying babies had an off button.
I wish that I could talk to God and hear Him say He loves me.
Um I think that's all my wishes.

My last wish:
I wish I could spell!

I wish that every weekend lasts 3 days: First day we clean, second day we go to church and third day we REST our bodies to prepare ourselves for another work week. Or we could use the third day to spend quiet quality time with loved ones.
