Plain Burrito

I am a plain burrito in a world full of specialized burritos. I was in Taco Bell the other day and it hit me…I don’t like the new style of burrito they serve. I mean my favorite thing there is 2 soft tacos and a beef burrito…no I said beef, beef burrito. No beans, no sour cream supreme or gordito filled with beef style food. Just give me beef, cheese and onions and I am happy. I know some of you are saying, ‘Get with the times, burritos have changed and you need to change with them’. Well, I disagree. I can change with the times. I just like certain types of burritos from Taco Bell. I can still order it and get it just like I like it but it is not even on the menu anymore. I just felt like I am out of the loop. Or out of the Taco Bell burrito bandwagon at least. Oh well.

I guess maybe this world needs more uniqueness instead of all the sameness we have now. By uniqueness I mean not being afraid to stay the same even though everyone wants you to be different and all the choices you have would cause you to be different even if you are trying to be unique. I think we have too many choices in this world. I think we have too much competing for our attention and our money and our minds and our devotion. It is confusing. I guess that means we need to really be sure of what and who we are. Being unique is going to be more and more important…by that I mean even when everything around us is changing in order to ‘improve’ or ‘get better’ or be more ‘competitive’ we need to be more sure of what that means to us. WE have to be sure of who we are and who’s we are. So what is it, plain or supreme?

Comments:
plain for me..very very plain. Although when I go to chipotle I get the burrito bol which I guess is not plain since everyone else gets the burritos.. It's all very confusing. I need to sit down..

You guys just need to get a Bueno up there. They're a lot better than bell anyway, plus they have the mexidip and chips and muchacos. Man I'm really hungery now. I remember one time going to the grocery store with my roommate John and getting chips and then him telling me to drive across the street to bueno. I asked him if he was going to buy anything there since we just went to the grocery store and he said no and he'd just be a second. Then he went inside and came out about 30 seconds later with several containers full of salsa. Yea he just went to the condement table and filled up as many containers as he could carry and then walked out. Then we went home and had chips and salsa. It was pretty good. And I didn't feel bad cause it was him that did it not me.

Never has a description of someone been more apropos. You are a plain burrito. Sounds plain, but it's actually not. Makes me think very deeply . . .
